A study with proposed design and planning initiatives for the parklands following the Speed River as it passes through downtown Guelph, ON. The proposal considers the linear park as a audio composition and views formal interventions as part of a larger composition of the soundscape.
The project attempts to move beyond traditional noise-reduction focussed perspectives of landscape planning and design and to consider the possibilities and effects of the addition of sonic elements in a comprehensive development plan
