Originally compiled in 1977 in a box set of ten albums, Cent-mille rêves was an enigmatic selection of French-language songs culled the 70’s charts of both France and Quebec. In this project, selected recordings from this collection are diffused then re-recorded in the urban landscape of Montreal’s St. Henri neighbourhood. Reflecting off surrounding surfaces and absorbed by masses of foliage; the songs are reinvested with the active presence of a spring evening; longing, surging and strange.
